Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Fresh Neighbors marketplace.

Buying Harvests

How do I pick up my produce?

Once you reserve an item, the grower will contact you with their specific pickup details. Usually, this is at their garden gate or a designated neighborhood spot.

Is the produce organic?

Each grower is required to list their growing practices. Look for the "🌿 Organic" badge on grower profiles for those following organic standards.

Can I cancel a reservation?

Yes, you can cancel up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time through your My Orders page.

Growing & Selling

Is it free to list my harvest?

Yes. Creating a profile and listing your produce is completely free. Fresh Neighbors does not take a fee on produce sales. You settle payment directly with the buyer at pickup.

What if I only have a small surplus?

That is exactly what Fresh Neighbors is for! Whether it is one extra basket of strawberries or fifty eggs, every local listing matters.

Do I need insurance?

Most small-scale garden sales are covered under local Cottage Food laws. We recommend checking your local municipal guidelines provided in the Grower Resource section.
